A Diet for Increased Sex Drive and Enhanced Libido - by kelly Price

If you want an increased sex drive and to enhance libido then this diet with natural supplementation will do it for you - remember you are what you eat! What you put into your body will increase not only your overall well being but also your Libido.

Before we look at specifics that should be in your diet lets make some points that maybe obvious but are very important.

Passion killers includes: Alcohol, smoking and recreational drugs so if you take them cut down or even better stop! Also if you are not fit improve your fitness levels, with gentle exercise; 30 minutes a day is enough. It can be a brisk walk or taking the stairs rather than the lift - just get your heart rate up.

Today, we always try and take short cuts with our diet - don't. Avoid too many processed foods and eat as "naturally from the earth" as possible lots of lean meat fresh fruit and vegetables.

Now let look at some important nutrients that are very important to enhance libido

L argentine - This nutrient is highly important for libido.

L argentine is produced naturally by the body but declines with age but it's vital for nitric oxide secretion. This chemical allows the blood vessels of the penis to relax and blood to flow in causing an erection. If you don't get enough you won't get an erection - period. As it declines with age get it as a supplement.

A recent study showed an 80 percent improvement in the erectile function of men given 2.8 grams of argentine a day for two weeks.

Gingko Bilbao - Blood flow is critical to wellness generally and sex drive and Gingko Bilbao improves blood flow to the brain and enhances blood flow to extremities, such as the legs, and genitals and functions as an anti-oxidant in the body. It helps inhibit lipid per oxidation of cell membranes, which is a process that leads to clogging of the arteries, or atherosclerosis. It also helps lift your mood, fights depression.

Not only does it help blood flow which is vital to enhance libido it helps you cope better with stress and fatigue which are known passion killers.

Ginseng - Ginseng another great all round wellness supplement to make you feel better and combat low libido. Ginseng is stimulating and restorative, improving both physical and mental energy, stamina, strength, alertness and concentration.

http://wilkovesky.mattchalla.hop.clickbank.netIn its role as an adaptogen, it also helps you adapt to physical or emotional stress and fatigue. It has a normalizing effect on hormone imbalances and boosts metabolic rate as well as improving blood flow to the genitals. The most popular herb supplement in the world and with good reason it makes you feel better, fights stress and fatigue and helps blood flow.

Selenium - Selenium is believed to be good for sperm motility and mobility; nearly 50% of the selenium in a man is in the testes and seminal ducts. Getting enough selenium is therefore vital for peak sexual performance and you can take it as a supplement or get it in oily fish 3 - 5 portions a week.

Zinc - Zinc is required for the production of testosterone and zinc content of the prostate gland and sperm is higher than in any other part of the body. A deficiency of zinc is associated with numerous sexual problems, including sperm abnormalities and prostate disease. Zinc not only helps produce testosterone, but also helps to maintain semen volume and levels of testosterone; increase sex drive and keeps sperm healthy.

Magnesium - Magnesium is a mineral that is important for the production of sex hormones, such as androgen and estrogen and neurotransmitters that modulate the sex drive such as dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain that get you in the mood.

Vitamin A - Helps regulate the synthesis of the sex hormone progesterone.

Vitamin B1 - Thiamin (B1) is essential for optimal nerve transmission and energy production throughout the body - which means it's essential for peak sexual performance.

Vitamin C - Participates in the synthesis of hormones that are involved in sex and fertility: androgen, estrogen and progesterone.

Vitamin E - Often referred to as the main sex vitamin, it's a powerful anti aging antioxidant that protects cell membranes from free-radical damage and is required for the synthesis of hormones and hormone like substances known as prostaglandins.

If you have a balanced healthy diet you should be getting all the above however if you are not then take supplements. We have included a couple of herbs: Ginseng and Gingko Bilbao which are both great sex drive and body tonics and you can add another few that are proven to increase libido.

Horny Goat weed is more than a catchy name it helps increase nitric oxide production mentioned earlier and also helps increase testosterone levels as well as acting as a great body tonic and is an excellent natural libido enhancer.

Another great herb is - Cnidium which is one of the most effective natural remedies to boost libido and to treat impotence. It works just like prescription drugs to increase nitric oxide release and inhibit PDE-5. This enables an erection to be maintained for longer period of time. Finally, Cnidium also helps promote better blood circulation.

If you include the above in your diet your libido and sex drive will increase and you will also feel better! Remember you are what you eat and give you body the right fuel by including the above in your diet and you will enhance your sex drive naturally.

Low Testosterone Causes

Testosterone has been accorded vast powers, as the libido hormone, the aggression hormone, the dominance hormone”

There are many factors that can cause low testosterone in men. Diet (eating too much junk food), exercise (too little or too much exercise), adrenal issues (such as adrenal fatigue), alcohol consumption (drinking alcohol in excess most of the time) and aging are the most obvious issues with what can cause low testosterone. Aside from these there are other reasons why testosterone levels may be low.

Read the article below to learn more.

What Can Cause Low Testosterone? - by Mark Wilson

A condition called gynecomastia is a very obvious sign of low testosterone. When this condition is present, it's usually a result of too much male estrogen. Estrogen stores up in body fat, which is why women have larger breasts than men, but when the estrogen levels are too high, this can cause men to have large breasts too and this condition is called gynecomastia.

Another condition called Klinefelter syndrome in males will cause low levels of testosterone. It is believed that there is 1 out of every 500 males that are affected by this chromosomal condition. Men with this disorder have an extra X chromosome in many of their cells.

Some medications can affect the testosterone production. Some of the worse offenders are:

Antidepressants
Anti-fungals
Anti-inflammatories
Beta blockers
Finestaride
Hypertension medications
Marijuana (which is more so a recreational illegal drug)
Metformin

http://bit.ly/1famE1BSleep habits can also affect the production of testosterone. If you are not getting enough quality sleep at night this will affect your overall health and can cause an imbalance in the endocrine system.

There are also conditions that affect the testicles themselves and this will most certainly cause a low hormone issue. Normally these conditions are results from other conditions, so finding the cure or management may be more than just treating the testicles. For example, too much estrogen will cause atrophy of the testicles. Balance the hormones, thus balancing the estrogen AND testosterone will stop this.

Other reasons for testicular atrophy are aging, alcohol consumption in excess, atherosclerosis, cirrhosis of the liver, gonorrhea, inguinal hernia, kidney failure, marijuana use, syphilis and other bacterial and viral infections.

Obviously if there's ever trauma to the testicles this can affect how they function.

If you are considered obese then chances are that your testosterone levels are low. Recent research shows that body fat and testosterone are controlled by the same genes. Men with higher body fat percentages tend to have lower testosterone levels. Also estrogen is stored in body fat, so if there is an excess of body fat, then the levels of estrogen will be higher than normal. All this in turn causes the levels of the testosterone to drop.

Of all the causes of low testosterone the bottom line is that if you can maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating right, by practicing safe sex, by exercising in moderation you can certainly increase the chances of keeping your testosterone levels normal. While some illnesses can't be avoided, many can by practicing safe habits. Common sense will tell you that eating junk food, and drinking too much alcohol and not using protection if you aren't in a monogamous relationship are all bad for you. It affects all parts of your body.
